Biogas
The SURE Waste to Energy system converts organic waste to clean electrical power and marketable by-products.
Our integrated approach to waste treatment makes use of anaerobic digestion, a proven technology and naturally occurring process that breaks down organic matter to biogas and nutrient-rich sludge. The resulting biogas is captured and fed as fuel to run a power generating facility. The generated power may be used by a farm or factory on site or sold to the electricity grid. The sludge, on the other hand, will be processed into high-grade organic fertilizer.
Projects
San Miguel Purefoods – Binh Duong, Vietnam
SURE entered into an agreement with San Miguel Purefoods Vietnam to build and operate a waste-to-energy system for their 13,800-sow farm in Binh Duong province. The project will have a 2 MW capacity power plant to supplement the electricity needs of the farm.
Monterey Farms – Sumilao, Bukidnon
The farm of Monterey Foods Corporation in Sumilao, Bukidnon currently has a capacity of 4,400 sows. SURE is constructing a waste-to-energy system that will treat the wastewater and produce biogas to run a 1 MW power plant.
SIlangan Farms – Lipa, Batangas
Silangan Farms is 3,300-sow farm located in Lipa City, which is 78 kilometers from Manila. Biogas produced from the digesters will be fed to the 400-kw power plant. The power plant will supplement the heat and electricity requirements of the farm’s feed mill. The farm was commissioned in June 2010.
Holiday Hills Stock and Breeding Farms -San Pedro, Laguna
Holiday Hills is a 2,800-sow farm located south of Manila. SURE will build a wastewater treatment facility which will supply biogas to a 360-kw capacity power house. The waste-to-energy project is expected to be completed by December 2010.
Gen. Natividad Breeding Farm – Gen. Natividad, Nueva Ecija
General Natividad Breeding Farm is a 2,600-sow farm in Barangay Bravo. SURE is completing a waste treatment facility and a 60-kw power plant which will supplement the electricity requirements of the farm.
IMI Farms GlobeGen- San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
Founded in 1963, the IMI breeding farm has state-of-the-art laboratory and testing facilities. SURE built a 600cubic meter digester that is connected to a generator and an open flare. The farm currently uses the electricity generated from the biogas system.
Dodram Farms – Rosario, Batangas
SURE built two 330 cubic meter concrete anaerobic digesters for the 8,000 head capacity farm. The waste-to-energy system has a solid and liquid separator, a gas scrubber system and 24-kilowatt powerhouse.
